The Lemhi supercomputer, developed through a partnership between Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and Idaho's public research universities, enhances high-performance computing for researchers across the state. Serving the University of Idaho, Boise State University, and Idaho State University, Lemhi replaces the Falcon supercomputer, delivering improved speed and efficiency.

This upgrade strengthens Idaho's research capacity, facilitating complex problem-solving in disciplines like artificial intelligence and energy systems. Lemhi is hosted at INL's Collaborative Computing Center in Idaho Falls, with operational oversight by the University of Idaho, which will rotate leadership among the universities starting in late 2026.
