Leocor Mining to Conduct VTEM Survey at Baie Verte Gold-Copper Project in Newfoundland
Leocor Mining plans a VTEM survey at its Baie Verte Gold-Copper Project in Newfoundland to identify drilling targets. The survey follows last summer's drill program, which found a VMS style mineralization system at Copper Creek. The electromagnetic survey aims to leverage the conductivity contrast of sulphide minerals for effective follow-up drilling.

Leocor Mining will conduct a VTEM survey across its Baie Verte Gold-Copper Project in Newfoundland to gather data for identifying primary drilling targets. This decision follows a previous drill program that discovered a VMS mineralization system at Copper Creek.
VMS deposits are characterized by high conductivity due to sulphide minerals like pyrite and chalcopyrite, which contrast significantly with surrounding rocks. The VTEM system will utilize time-domain electromagnetic induction to measure the secondary magnetic field generated by induced eddy currents in these conductive bodies.
