Levanta Secures Funding for Solar-Battery Plant in the Philippines
Levanta Renewables has commenced construction on a solar and battery storage facility in the Philippines, securing project financing. This development is significant as it aligns with the country's renewable energy targets of 35% by 2030 and 50% by 2040.

Levanta Renewables Pte Ltd. has initiated construction on the Barotac solar power and battery energy storage project in the Philippines after securing financing. The facility will feature a 166 MWp solar array and an 80 MWh battery system, enhancing the region's clean energy capabilities.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but funding was obtained from two major commercial banks. The project is linked to a power purchase agreement under the Philippine Department of Energy's Green Energy Auction Program Round 4. The Barotac facility is expected to be operational by mid-2027, contributing to the national goal of increasing renewable energy's share in the power mix significantly.
