Liebherr Cranes Used Exclusively for New Metal Processing Plant in Hamburg

CIRCULAR ECONOMY & RECYCLING

A metal processing plant is under construction in Hamburg, Germany, utilizing Liebherr cranes for precise lifting of steel structures and equipment. Züblin has acquired a fleet including Liebherr 1188 EC-H, 550 EC-H, and 470 EC-B cranes from BMTI's rental fleet, along with a Liebherr 250 EC-B from BMTI's inventory.

The 1188 EC-H Fibre is crucial for heavy-duty assembly, with a lifting capacity of 40 tons. The EC-B cranes offer flexibility for confined spaces. The exclusive use of Liebherr cranes enhances collaboration among companies through standardized controls. Aurubis will process 30,000 tons of material per year starting in 2026, contributing to the circular economy.
