One year after its launch at the Helmholtz site in Munich, Life Science Factory has increased its resident teams from three to twelve. It offers 1,800 square meters of specialized lab and co-working spaces, primarily for tech-driven startups in reproductive medicine, antibiotic research, and lab automation. The facility provides modern infrastructure, programmatic support, and access to industry and research networks. Significant early-stage funding highlights its growing appeal to investors. Future plans include expanding infrastructure and partnerships with industry and pharma companies.

Life Science Factory in Munich has marked its first anniversary by growing its resident startup teams from three to twelve. The facility spans 1,800 square meters and caters to technology-driven startups in reproductive medicine, antibiotic research, and lab automation.
It offers specialized laboratories and co-working spaces, along with programmatic support and access to a network of industry and research partners. The factory aims to expedite the translation of research into marketable applications, supported by modern lab facilities.
In 2025, Munich accounted for 17% of all funding rounds in Germany, with venture capital investment at approximately €2.45 billion. Life Science Factory plans to enhance its infrastructure and strengthen collaborations with industry and pharma sectors to support early-stage startups.
