Lightbringer Transforms Patent Application Process with New AI-Driven Approach
Lightbringer accelerates patent application timelines from months to days while reducing costs significantly. The platform aims to support deep tech companies lacking in-house IP resources by integrating patent management into existing engineering workflows.

Lightbringer, co-founded by Dominic Davies, Markus Andreasson, and Ola Wassvik, enables patent applications to be filed in days at reduced costs. The company has raised $10 million in Series A funding, bringing total investments to $15 million.
It targets deep tech sectors including AI, robotics, and medtech, addressing the challenge of inadequate patent attorney availability. Since its inception in 2024, Lightbringer has collaborated with over 200 companies across 17 countries, achieving a 300% year-on-year revenue increase in Q2 2026.
The integration of patent management into tools like ChatGPT enhances efficiency, allowing engineers to manage IP seamlessly. This shift in focus from traditional law firms to innovators could disrupt existing legal billing models and reshape patent protections in the tech industry.
