Lightpath, BIG Fiber, Lightcurve, and altafiber Announce Fiber Network Expansions
Lightpath is expanding its fiber network in Columbus, Ohio, adding 55 miles to reach a total of 304 miles by 2027. Meanwhile, BIG Fiber is enhancing its Bay Area presence by connecting to CoreSite's SV1 data center, while Lightcurve is constructing a new network in Selah, Washington, targeting 2,900 locations. Additionally, altafiber is partnering with Nokia for network expansions in Cincinnati, Dayton, and Hawaii, and 1623 Farnam is building a second interconnection facility in Omaha, expected to increase capacity by mid-2028.

Lightpath is expanding its network in Columbus, Ohio, adding 55 route miles of fiber to reach 304 miles by 2027. BIG Fiber is building out its fiber into CoreSite's SV1 data center in San Jose, California, increasing its Bay Area network to over 310 route miles. Lightcurve is constructing a new fiber network in Selah, Washington, targeting 2,900 locations, with ongoing construction in nearby areas. altafiber is partnering with Nokia to expand its network in Cincinnati, Dayton, and Hawaii, utilizing 25G PON and other equipment. 1623 Farnam is building a second interconnection facility in Omaha, Nebraska, expected to add at least 5MW of capacity by mid-2028.
