Lion Rock Resources Explores Lithium and Gold at South Dakota's Volney Deposit
Lion Rock Resources has initiated drilling at the Volney deposit in South Dakota, targeting lithium, tin, and gold. Initial assays indicate significant mineralization, highlighting the potential for critical minerals in the U.S.

Lion Rock Resources is conducting a 3,600-metre drilling program at the Volney deposit in South Dakota, focusing on lithium, tin, and gold. Initial results from four holes revealed 25.4 metres of 0.8% lithium oxide and an intercept of 28.3 metres of 0.1% tin, with 11 additional holes planned to further assess gold potential.
The site covers 1.42 sq. km in the Black Hills and features a pegmatite measuring 635 metres by 200 metres. Historically, the region is significant, having produced 43.9 million ounces of gold from the Homestake mine from 1876 to 2001, indicating strong mineralization potential.
