Littelfuse acknowledges Dr. Martin Schulz's contributions to power semiconductor design over five years, culminating in a direct liquid cooling technology. This advancement, developed with Daimler Truck AG and the Steinbeis Institute, enables power modules to draw 800A continuously, surpassing the classical rating of 600A.
Testing on a Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck mission profile showed a reduction in power losses by 15% and a potential increase in power-cycling lifetime by 800 times compared to traditional ceramic-isolated modules. Schulz's work has been presented at PCIM, where he received a certificate of appreciation, highlighting the industry's recognition of his innovative approach.
