Lockhart Solar PV IV Project Achieves Commercial Operations, Enhancing Capacity to 530 MW
The Lockhart Solar PV IV project, with 80 MW capacity, is now operational, elevating total facility capacity to over 530 MW. This expansion supports the energy needs of around 40,000 homes and businesses annually in California.

The Lockhart Solar PV IV project, part of the Terra-Gen portfolio and co-owned by Masdar and Igneo Infrastructure Partners, has commenced commercial operations, adding 80 MW to the existing capacity. The overall Lockhart Solar and Storage complex now features 365 MW of solar generation and 173.7 MW of battery storage, enough to serve over 350,000 homes and businesses annually.
Construction generated over 220 jobs and required 122,000 work hours without incidents. The facility spans approximately 4,000 acres and incorporates nearly 1 million solar modules. The operational project utilizes a connection to Southern California Edison's Kramer Junction Substation, enhancing regional renewable energy supply.
