Locus Robotics Advances Manipulation with Nexera Acquisition and New Technology Integration
Locus Robotics has introduced Array, an AMR featuring a vision-guided picking arm, and acquired Nexera Robotics to enhance its manipulation capabilities. This integration aims to improve handling of diverse SKUs while ensuring high reliability in robotic picking processes.

In March 2025, Locus Robotics launched Array, a mobile manipulator designed for robotic picking, and subsequently acquired Nexera Robotics, known for its NeuraGrasp gripping technology. This acquisition comes as Locus seeks to enhance its product offerings and meet customer demand for handling a wider variety of SKUs.
The integration of Nexera's soft gripping technology into Array is expected to bridge the gap between suction and pinching methods in robotic grasping, addressing limitations faced in traditional picking approaches. Reliability in robotic performance remains a priority for Locus, with a focus on minimizing errors such as product damage and misspicks.
