Lokesh Machines Limited has been awarded a ₹9.5 crore contract by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) to supply ASMI 9×19mm submachine guns, valued at approximately $1 million. The ASMI, developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), features advanced technology suitable for close-quarters combat.
