Long March-12 Rocket Launches 13th Internet Satellite Group from Hainan's Commercial Spaceport
On November 10, 2025, a Long March-12 carrier rocket launched from the Hainan commercial spacecraft launch site, successfully deploying the 13th group of internet satellites. This event marks the seventh successful launch since the site began operations, which commenced in 2022.
The site features two launch pads, including a versatile pad for various rocket types, designed to streamline operations and reduce pre-launch preparation time. Phase II construction is underway, adding two more launch pads by the end of 2026, aiming for an annual capacity of over 60 missions.
The adjacent aerospace industrial park is fostering a comprehensive ecosystem, with over 700 aerospace-related companies established. Wenchang's strategic location, supportive policies, and emerging 'aerospace+' applications are driving the rapid growth of Hainan's commercial space sector.
