Longi Acquires PotisEdge; Establishes Solar-Storage Innovation Center in Europe
Longi has acquired a majority stake in Chinese storage manufacturer PotisEdge and launched a Solar-Storage Technology Innovation Center in London. The move aligns with competitors like JA Solar and aims to enhance Longi's presence in the European battery storage market, focusing on commercial and utility-scale solutions. PotisEdge, with 3.5 GW of overseas sales in 2025, will assist Longi in expanding its European operations, which includes hiring new staff and seeking industry partners.

In November 2025, Longi acquired a majority stake in PotisEdge and announced the opening of its Solar-Storage Technology Innovation Center in London. This strategic move follows competitors like JA Solar and aims to strengthen Longi's position in the European battery storage market, targeting commercial and utility-scale systems.
PotisEdge contributed 3.5 GW in sales overseas in 2025, focusing on larger storage solutions from 100 kWh to 6.25 MWh. Longi plans to build its team and partner with industry experts to enhance service offerings. JA Solar presented its 125 kW / 261 kWh storage system at the KEY trade fair, with plans for a utility-scale system later in the year.
