From September 3 to 4, 2025, Longi took part in a significant senior-level dialogue and seminar held at the Palace of Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Jointly organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the United Nations Forum on Sustainability Standards (UNFSS), and the China Association for Standardization (CAS), this event aimed to foster sustainable business practices and brand development globally. Longi stood out as the sole corporate representative from China's burgeoning new energy sector, attracting attention from global government officials, heads of international organizations, and leaders of multinational enterprises.

During the dialogue, Jia Chao, President of Longi’s Europe Business Center, underscored the pivotal role of solar energy in the global energy transition. He articulated that solar resources are universally distributed, serving as a vital tool for sustainable development, particularly in energy-scarce and underdeveloped regions such as Afghanistan and Pakistan. Jia shared insights into Longi's commitment to sustainability, emphasizing that technological innovation is essential for driving both enterprise growth and genuine sustainable practices deeply rooted in corporate strategies and supply chain management.

On September 4, Longi formally endorsed the visionary initiative aimed at building sustainable brands, joining over 20 leading Chinese enterprises, including Anta Sports and CATL. This commitment, witnessed by numerous international organization representatives, sets forth a clear directive for global enterprises, especially in the new energy sector, to weave sustainability into their brand narratives, thus contributing to climate change mitigation.

In its operational framework, Longi is dedicated to embedding green development principles into all facets of its business, leveraging technological advancements to enhance the efficiency of photovoltaic products. This commitment not only makes solar energy more accessible but also aligns with global decarbonization efforts through innovative green electricity and hydrogen solutions. In 2024, Longi reinforced its focus on sustainability by upgrading its former strategy committee to include a dedicated strategy and sustainability committee, ensuring that all decisions are evaluated against sustainability objectives.

Floria Wang, Longi's head of global branding, also contributed to the dialogue by discussing the inherent sustainable DNA of the photovoltaic (PV) industry. She illustrated how Longi’s initiatives, such as projects in the Kubuqi Desert, the Brazilian rainforest, and partnerships with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Uzbekistan, showcase the transformative power of PV technology in delivering social and environmental benefits. These efforts exemplify how sustainability can be integrated into corporate strategies, demonstrating Longi's leadership in the clean energy sector.

As a steadfast advocate for sustainable development, Longi has consistently positioned itself at the forefront of global climate initiatives, from endorsing the "solar for solar" concept at the UN Climate Change Conference to actively supporting China's dual carbon goals. The company's robust financial performance and exemplary corporate governance ensure its long-term sustainability, empowering customers and energy-intensive industries alike to pursue low-carbon transitions while fostering a resilient business ecosystem.
