In 2025, Lordstown Mayor Jackie Woodward announced the completion and initiation of several key projects, including a $4.2 million waterline project supported by U.S. Rep. David Joyce.
The Trumbull Energy Center (TEC) project is progressing, expected to generate additional funding for local schools once operational. Ultium Cells is resuming some layoffs while Foxconn has started a new project anticipated to create 1,000 to 1,500 jobs.
The village plans to relocate its water department to the former library site and is exploring options for a new safety services building. Recent contracts for village employees include a 3% annual pay increase.
A 0.5% income tax has been passed to support emergency services. A public hearing for a data center moratorium is scheduled, allowing for further investigation into their impact. Upcoming projects include paving Salt Springs and Lyntz Roads with funds from the Ohio Public Works Commission.
