Los Angeles County Cities Launch Economic Incentives Initiative to Compete with Sun Belt States
The cities of Industry, Commerce, Santa Fe Springs, and Vernon are enhancing business incentives to attract companies. This initiative aims to compete effectively against Sun Belt states by streamlining permitting and offering various tax incentives.

The City of Industry, along with Commerce, Santa Fe Springs, and Vernon, is implementing the BIG 4 initiative to attract businesses by offering enhanced incentives and streamlined permitting processes. The four cities account for 24% of Los Angeles County's industrial capacity, targeting sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, IT, healthcare, and financial services.
Incentives include no city property tax in Commerce, low loans in Santa Fe Springs, and reduced utility rates in Vernon. The BIG 4 will promote these opportunities at a regional summit on April 30. Potential risks include public opposition related to the development of data centers, which has been a concern for neighboring communities.
