Low Carbon Hub Seeks Investors for UK's First Community-Owned Solar Battery Project
Low Carbon Hub aims to fund a 12 MWh battery energy storage system for the Ray Valley Solar project, seeking GBP 500,000. This initiative would establish the first community-owned co-located battery in the UK, enhancing revenues for the existing 19 MW solar plant. Since 2011, Low Carbon Hub has raised over GBP 10 million in community investments.

Low Carbon Hub is seeking GBP 500,000 to fund a 12 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for the Ray Valley Solar project, which would be the first community-owned co-located battery in the UK. The initiative aims to boost revenues for the existing 19 MW solar plant.
Since its inception in 2011, Low Carbon Hub has raised over GBP 10 million in community investments. The public and organizations can invest in the Community Energy Fund through the Ethex platform, with investments starting at GBP 100 and a maximum of GBP 100,000.
