Lu-Ve Supplies CO2 Cooling System for Data Center in Paterna, Spain
Lu-Ve, an Italian multinational, has supplied evaporators for a data center in Paterna (Valencia), Spain, utilizing CO2 as a refrigerant. This facility is among the first globally to adopt this natural refrigerant, promoting high thermodynamic efficiency with minimal global warming impact. Developed by Kumo Networks and built to Tier IV standards, the data center spans 1,000 sqm with a cooling capacity of 1.5 MW, utilizing one of the largest geothermal fields in the Valencian Community.

Lu-Ve has provided 34 evaporators, 64 double-flow evaporators, and 4 corner air coolers for a data center in Tactica Business Park, Paterna, Spain. This facility is one of the first worldwide to use CO2 as a refrigerant, ensuring high efficiency and low environmental impact.
The data center, developed by Kumo Networks, covers 1,000 sqm and meets Tier IV quality standards. It has a cooling power of 1.5 MW and utilizes a large geothermal field for efficient temperature maintenance.
Waste heat from cooling operations will be used for local district heating. The data center is expected to become operational in the coming weeks.
