The Luau photovoltaic solar park in the Province of Moxico Leste has commenced electricity supply, marking a significant step in the operational phase of the project. It features an installed capacity of 32.20 MWp and is equipped with a 79.77 MWh battery storage system, consisting of approximately 55,000 solar panels.
This development aims to improve energy access for local communities, with around 20,000 household connections benefiting over 100,000 residents. The project supports Angola's renewable energy policy, potentially saving over 12 million liters of fuel annually. This shift may significantly impact regional energy sustainability and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
