Lubrizol and GIIHG Collaborate on World's Largest Hydropower Project in China
Lubrizol Corp. partners with Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holdings Group to develop lubricant solutions for a major hydropower project in China. The collaboration will address extreme operating conditions with structured field testing of hydraulic oil and diesel fuel additives over the project's 15-to-20-year construction period. This initiative aligns with Lubrizol's localization strategy in China, enhancing its innovation and supply chain capabilities in the region.

Lubrizol Corp. has formed a joint technology validation programme with Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holdings Group (GIIHG) to create lubricant and fuel additive solutions for the world's largest hydropower project in China. The partnership focuses on high-altitude, sub-zero temperature, and complex geological conditions.
Field testing will validate advanced hydraulic oil and diesel fuel additives for heavy-duty construction equipment over an estimated 15-to-20-year period. GIIHG's machinery and diesel engine subsidiaries will utilize specialized equipment under extreme conditions. This collaboration supports Lubrizol's localization strategy in China, emphasizing innovation and supply chain development.
