Madawaska Wind Project in Quebec Secures Financing for Construction Start
The Madawaska Wind Project in Quebec has reached financial close, enabling construction to commence. The 274 MW project, located in Témiscouata, is financed through Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, National Bank of Canada, Desjardins Group, and KfW IPEX-Bank. The project will feature 45 wind turbines and is expected to power over 44,000 homes annually. It aims to contribute to Quebec's energy transition and local economic benefits, with operational plans set for fall 2027.

The Madawaska Wind Project in Quebec has secured financing, allowing it to proceed to construction. The 274 MW project, situated in the Témiscouata region, has been financed by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, National Bank of Canada, Desjardins Group, and KfW IPEX-Bank.
The project will install 45 wind turbines, generating energy for over 44,000 homes annually. It is part of Quebec's strategy to add 10,000 MW of wind power by 2035. The project is set to create over 300 jobs, with construction beginning after preparatory work started in January. Operations are scheduled for fall 2027, and local communities will receive significant economic support.
