Madhya Pradesh Officials Meet Amara Raja Group to Discuss Renewable Energy and Battery Solutions
Madhya Pradesh's Minister for New and Renewable Energy Rakesh Shukla and Additional Chief Secretary Manu Shrivastava met with Amara Raja Group Chairman Jay Galla to discuss the state's renewable energy needs. The discussion centered on energy storage and battery solutions to address future energy requirements.
A major battery storage project in the Morena region is operational, providing electricity for two hours during peak evening and early morning hours. Plans are in place for 24-hour solar power generation through integrated storage solutions, with all future renewable projects incorporating storage components.
Additionally, a pumped storage policy is being developed, and hybrid models like hydro-solar and thermal-solar are being evaluated. Both parties agreed to exchange project data and explore collaborations in energy storage aligned with Madhya Pradesh's clean energy roadmap.
