Magna AI, Global Telecommunications, and Zchwantech Partner for Sovereign AI Infrastructure in Southeast Asia
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to accelerate sovereign AI infrastructure development across Southeast Asia, focusing on Malaysia and Thailand. This collaboration aims to enhance AI data centers, secure platforms, and compliance with local regulations to meet the region's growing digital infrastructure demands.

Magna AI, Inc., in collaboration with Global Telecommunications Sdn. Bhd. and Zchwantech Cybersecurity Sdn. Bhd., has signed a MoU to explore sovereign AI infrastructure development in Southeast Asia, particularly in Malaysia and Thailand.
The MoU outlines plans for AI data centers, secure AI platforms, and sovereign AI factories, with an emphasis on local regulatory compliance and cybersecurity. The region's data center capacity is projected to increase significantly, with Malaysia contributing over 6 GW and Thailand approximately 3.5 GW.
This collaboration aims to address the evolving needs of governments and enterprises for secure, scalable AI solutions, while also incorporating robust cybersecurity measures to counter emerging threats. The initiative reflects Southeast Asia's position as a key player in the global hyperscale growth cycle.
