Maharashtra Allocates Water Entitlement for NTPC and MAHAGENCO Pumped Storage Projects
The Maharashtra government has allocated bulk water entitlements for three pumped storage power projects by NTPC, Tatyasaheb Kore, and MAHAGENCO. Specific water volumes have been reserved from high-altitude reservoirs in Raigad, Kolhapur, and Ahilyanagar districts. NTPC's project in Kumbhe will reserve 2.4 million liters, while the two projects at Tilari's Kodali reservoir will reserve nearly 1 million liters and Ghatghar's plant will have 80,000 liters.

The Maharashtra government has set bulk water entitlements for pumped storage power projects to be executed by NTPC, Tatyasaheb Kore, and MAHAGENCO. NTPC will develop a project in Kumbhe, Raigad, reserving 2.4 million liters of water.
Tatyasaheb Kore and MAHAGENCO will each set up projects at the Kodali reservoir in Tilari, Kolhapur, with nearly 1 million liters reserved. Another project at Ghatghar in Ahilyanagar will reserve around 80,000 liters. The bulk water entitlement varies based on project capacity and is allocated annually.
