MAHLE to Begin Series Production of Fuel Cell Humidifiers in Austria by 2029
MAHLE has announced plans to commence series production of fuel cell humidifiers at its St. Michael ob Bleiburg plant in Austria by 2029. The initiative involves significant investments in employee training and modernization, with the facility set to manufacture all humidifier components in-house using advanced high-temperature injection molding techniques. This move underscores MAHLE's commitment to advancing hydrogen technologies.

MAHLE selected its St. Michael ob Bleiburg plant in Austria for series production of humidifiers for fuel cell vehicles, starting in 2029. The project involves investments in employee training, automation, and modernization.
The plant will produce humidifier components in-house, including stackers and injection-molded parts, reinforcing MAHLE's commitment to hydrogen technologies. Manufacturing will cover the entire humidifier production process, utilizing high-temperature injection molding for enhanced performance. Preparations will begin soon to equip the facility for production.
