Major Retail, Housing, and Industrial Projects to Launch in Buckeye by 2026
In 2026, Buckeye will host ground-breaking ceremonies and ribbon cuttings for several major projects, contributing to its anticipated population growth to over 300,000 by 2040. Key developments include Teravalis, a master-planned community that welcomed its first residents in October 2025, covering 37,000 acres with potential for over 100,000 homes and 55 million square feet of commercial space.
The Verrado Marketplace shopping center is set to open in Spring 2026, featuring a Safeway, Target, and Harkins BackLot. Buckeye Commons will introduce a Costco and restaurants such as Raising Cane's and In-N-Out Burger.
Additionally, the Buckeye Technology Corridor is underway, with the $20 billion Tract's Buckeye Technology Park planned to host 40 data centers, supported by new power infrastructure, following its acquisition in 2024. Arizona Land Consulting is also developing another 2,000-acre data center project outside Buckeye.
