Malawi Suspends Mining Licenses and Bans Raw Mineral Exports for Sector Reform

The government plans to enhance negotiation capacities for Mining Development Agreements and establish a Sovereign Wealth Fund to manage mining proceeds. The Kasiya Rutile-Graphite Project, by Sovereign Metals, is noted for its significant rutile deposits.
