Manitoba Métis Federation Partners with RES for Renewable Energy Development
The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) has formed a partnership with RES, a leading independent renewable energy company, through its affiliate, the Red River Métis Power Corporation (RRMPC). This collaboration aims to advance renewable energy projects in Manitoba, following a comprehensive selection process for industry partners.
The parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to outline their shared goals and are finalizing a definitive agreement in response to Manitoba Hydro's Request for Qualified Suppliers. The RRMPC, established in October 2024, focuses on developing wind power capacity and other energy initiatives.
RES, which has a global presence in 24 countries and has delivered over 28 GW of renewable projects, will support MMF's vision for a sustainable energy future. The initial project will involve a 200 MW wind energy capacity, marking the start of broader renewable energy plans.
