MANTA Consortium Selects MDC Data Centers for Subsea Cable Landing in Mexico
The MANTA consortium, comprising Liberty Networks, Gold Data, and Sparkle, has chosen MDC Data Centers to establish two Cable Landing Hubs in Cancun and Veracruz, Mexico. MDC will design and operate these facilities, integrating cable landing stations with neutral interconnection environments. The MANTA subsea cable system aims to enhance connectivity between Mexico, the USA, and Latin America by providing high-bandwidth, low-latency routes. The hubs will support scalable expansion to meet future demand for interconnection services.

The MANTA consortium has selected MDC Data Centers to develop two Cable Landing Hubs in Cancun and Veracruz, Mexico, for the MANTA subsea cable system. MDC will design, build, and operate these facilities, which will integrate cable landing stations with neutral interconnection environments.
The MANTA system aims to enhance traffic flow between Mexico, the USA, and Central and Latin America by offering high-bandwidth, low-latency routes connecting major data hubs. The Cancun and Veracruz sites will initially power the MANTA infrastructure with modular architecture allowing expansion up to 5MW per site. This partnership is expected to strengthen Mexico's digital infrastructure.
