DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Markor International Home Furnishings plans to acquire a controlling stake in Shenzhen-based Wandtec Optoelectronic Technology as it faces ongoing losses in its core furniture business. The acquisition will involve a combination of share issuance and cash payments.

Markor's shares have been suspended from trading since December 18, 2025. Wandtec, founded in 2018, specializes in high-speed copper cables used in data centers and AI servers, with transmission rates between 25 Gbps and 800G.

Recently, Luxshare Precision Industry invested CNY60 million (USD8.5 million) in Wandtec for a 16.7 percent stake. Markor reported a revenue decline of 19 percent to CNY3.4 billion (USD483.7 million) last year, with a net loss of CNY880 million (USD125.2 million). In 2024, it closed 27 stores and continued to shut down underperforming locations in 2025.
