Marvell Acquires XConn for $540 Million to Enhance AI Connectivity
Marvell Technology has acquired XConn Technologies for $540 million, utilizing approximately 60% cash and 40% stock. This acquisition aims to enhance Marvell's AI infrastructure and data-center connectivity capabilities.
It incorporates XConn's PCIe and CXL switching silicon, as well as specialized engineering talent, to improve performance and product offerings for AI system developers. Marvell projects that XConn will contribute to sales and profits by fiscal 2027 and generate around $100 million in revenue by 2028.
In a separate development, American Airlines will provide free in-flight Wi-Fi to AAdvantage members starting January 2026, partnering with AT&T to enhance the flying experience. Additionally, Telenor Group has sold Telenor Pakistan to Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited for approximately 5.3 billion Norwegian kroner, marking its exit from a challenging market.
