Masood M. Sharif Mahmood is set to become the group CEO of e& on April 1, 2026, succeeding Hatem Dowidar. Mahmood, who is currently the CEO of e& UAE, will hold both positions as e& transitions into a global technology firm.

His career began in 2000, and he has held significant roles at Dubai Holding and Yahsat, where he led the consolidation of the UAE's commercial space sector. Dowidar's tenure saw e& expand internationally and diversify into digital services. In 2025, e& reported a 23.1% increase in revenue to Dhs72.9bn and a net profit growth of 33.6% to Dhs14.4bn.
