MAX Power Discovers Canada's First Natural Hydrogen System in Saskatchewan
MAX Power Mining Corp. confirmed the discovery of Canada's first subsurface Natural Hydrogen system at its Lawson well in Saskatchewan, achieving hydrogen concentrations up to 286,000 ppm. The successful drilling allows for resource modelling and commercial evaluation, with a confirmatory well planned for H1 2026 after a 3D seismic survey.
This discovery supports the scalability of Natural Hydrogen along the 475-km Genesis Trend and enhances MAX Power's geological model for Natural Hydrogen accumulations. The project aims to develop a new clean energy source, leveraging existing infrastructure and geological conditions in Saskatchewan. The company also plans further drilling along the Saskatchewan-Montana border and is integrating data into its AI-assisted exploration model, MAXX LEMI.
