Mayfield's fiscal year 2027 budget totals approximately $374,315. Projected tax revenue is estimated at $214,720, with additional funds from licenses and permits and Class C road funds. The town plans to delay the Truth in Taxation process to balance the budget for another year, as the public utility fund is facing a $40,051 deficit.
In York County, construction has commenced on an $8 billion data center project, expected to create 1,000 construction jobs and 200 permanent positions. The first phase includes four buildings, operational by 2028.
Local schools will receive $40 million in tax revenue from the investment. QTS Data Centers is implementing a closed-loop cooling system to mitigate water usage concerns, addressing previous challenges with high water consumption.
