Maysville Submits Rezoning Application for Hyperscale Data Center in Mason County

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

A rezoning application has been submitted for a hyperscale data center project in Mason County, seeking to rezone 28 agricultural parcels for industrial use. The proposed site, spanning approximately 2,080 acres, will feature six data center buildings and related infrastructure, with an expected construction start in summer 2027.

The project aims to employ around 300 badge-in workers, with 100 full-time positions. It will utilize a closed-loop cooling system to consume zero water during normal operations, sourcing water from the Western Mason Water District and the City of Maysville. An environmental impact assessment and noise modeling are included in the application.
