MBRSC Releases New Images from MBZ-SAT on Launch Anniversary
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) released new high-resolution images from the Mohamed Bin Zayed Sat (MBZ-SAT) on the first anniversary of its launch. MBZ-SAT, launched on 14 January 2025 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, USA, is recognized for its imaging accuracy and advanced technical systems.
Developed by Emirati engineers under the National Satellite Development Programme, the satellite highlights the UAE's advancements in space technology. Approximately 90 percent of its mechanical structure and most electronic units were manufactured by local Emirati companies, fostering knowledge transfer and local technology development. MBZ-SAT is operated from MBRSC's Mission Control Centre, providing data to support various sectors across the UAE.
