MCD 7 LLC plans to build a nearly 1.5 million square foot data center in Limerick Township, Pennsylvania, raising environmental and cost concerns among local leaders and residents. The site is located near the Limerick Generating Station and Philadelphia Premium Outlets.

Township Manager Daniel Kerr stated the project complies with local zoning regulations, with the local government able to impose additional conditions. State Senator Katie Muth expressed concerns about the strain on local resources, as data centers require significant electricity and water. A public hearing is scheduled for February for community input.
