MCM SE Collaborates on Supply Chain for Bacton Energy Hub Transition

CARBON CAPTUREHYDROGEN

The Bacton Gas Terminal is transitioning into an energy hub focused on blue and green hydrogen as well as carbon capture and storage. MCM SE has been working with the main contractor since May 2025 and will continue into 2026, supplying muck and concrete services, fresh concrete mixes, 20mm shingle, and Type 1 aggregates.

Upgrades include new offices, welfare facilities, and parking areas, necessitating a construction waste removal program with trusted contractors. Clear communication has been essential for managing quick order turnarounds, with early morning and weekend deliveries prioritized to prevent delays.

MCM's commitment to strong relationships has been noted, alongside the presence of a dedicated Project Manager to ensure continuity. The company remains adaptive to the evolving site schedule, providing ongoing support to the teams at Bacton.
