Meadow Partners has acquired a portfolio of ten ground leases for energy assets across the U.K., including eight gas peaker sites and two battery energy storage system (BESS) sites, totaling 243.5 MW capacity. The assets are fully leased to established energy tenants and located in Merseyside and the Isle of Sheppey, offering significant grid access in urban areas.
This acquisition expands Meadow's investments in energy infrastructure, focusing on technologies essential for grid stability amid the transition to renewable energy sources. The integration of BESS and gas peaker technologies is crucial for managing peak demand and supporting renewable energy capacity growth, positioning Meadow to leverage its expertise in high-quality leased assets.
