Medallion Metals has received final federal environmental approval for its Ravensthorpe Gold Project (RGP) in Western Australia under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act (EPBC Act). This approval allows for underground mining at Ravensthorpe and ore processing at the proposed Forrestania facility.

With both federal and state primary approvals secured, Medallion can advance final development planning, subject to completing the acquisition of Forrestania and obtaining additional licenses under Western Australian legislation. The RGP is part of Medallion's strategy to create a sulphide-based production platform, which includes underground mining and processing operations. Medallion signed an asset sale agreement with IGO in August 2024 to acquire the Forrestania nickel operation, which transitioned to care and maintenance in September 2024.
