Meralco Activates New Substation in Bulacan to Meet Power Demand
Meralco has launched the Bustos Substation in Bulacan, enhancing power capacity with a 50 MVA transformer and other key equipment. This project aims to meet the rising electricity demand in the region, supporting local institutions and businesses.

The Bustos Substation, recently energized by Manila Electric Company (Meralco), includes the installation of a 50-megavolt-ampere (MVA) transformer bank and three 69-kilovolt (kV) gas circuit breakers. It aims to bolster service reliability and capacity for customers in Baliwag City and adjacent municipalities such as Bustos, Angat, and San Rafael.
Beneficiaries include local institutions like Baliwag District Hospital and Bulacan State University. This initiative reflects Meralco's strategy to modernize its distribution network to accommodate economic growth and increasing electricity needs in the area, which carries implications for local business operations and infrastructure development.
