Mercedes-Benz AG Signs $300 Million Lithium Supply Agreement with Titan Lithium in UAE
Mercedes-Benz AG has entered into a $300 million supply agreement with Titan Lithium Industries Ltd for battery-grade lithium, aimed at bolstering its electric vehicle portfolio. This partnership supports the UAE's goals for localizing strategic value chains and expanding critical materials manufacturing, with commercial supply anticipated to begin in 2028. Titan Lithium's refinery in Abu Dhabi will utilize clean energy for the lithium refining process.

Titan Lithium Industries Ltd has signed a supply framework agreement with Mercedes-Benz AG to provide battery-grade lithium for the automaker's global electric-vehicle portfolio. Valued at over $300 million (AED1.1 billion), the agreement supports Mercedes-Benz's electrification roadmap and establishes Titan Lithium as a supplier within its global battery materials supply chain.
The partnership aligns with the UAE's industrial and energy-transition goals to localize strategic value chains and expand downstream manufacturing of critical materials. Titan Lithium's refinery, located in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), utilizes clean energy for lithium refining. Commercial supply is expected to commence in 2028, subject to customary conditions.
