Meta Invests $27 Billion in AI Data Center Development in Louisiana

Meta is constructing a $27 billion AI data center on land in Louisiana formerly used for soybean farming. The project, known as the Hyperion Campus, aims to train more powerful AI models and will include supporting infrastructure such as power plants, offices, and cooling facilities.
The total area of the campus will cover 11 square kilometers, with approximately one-third allocated for the data center itself. Concerns are rising about potential economic bubbles as U.S. tech companies invest heavily in artificial intelligence development.
