Meta Signs Power Purchase Agreement with MN8 Energy for 80MW Solar Project in Pennsylvania
Meta has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with MN8 Energy for an 80MW solar project in Pennsylvania. This agreement supports Meta's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2030. Under the PPA, Meta will purchase all electricity generated by MN8's Walker Solar plant, expected to begin operations by the end of 2026. The partnership aims to reinforce Meta's commitment to renewable energy for its data centers.

Meta has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with MN8 Energy for 80MW of solar energy from the Walker Solar plant in Pennsylvania, supporting its commitment to 100% clean energy by 2030. Meta will purchase all generated electricity to power its data centers.
The Walker Solar plant is currently under development and expected to commence operations by late 2026. This agreement marks the first collaboration between Meta and MN8 Energy, highlighting the increasing demand for renewable energy in the tech sector.
