Meta is building a 1 GW AI data center in El Paso, Texas, which will utilize 813 gas generators with a total capacity of 366 MW, costing $473 million. The center is projected to start operations in 2027.

During a five-year transition, Meta will cover all associated costs while the site remains offline.
