Metacon Secures Contract for 7.5 MW Electrolysis Plant in Romania
Metacon, a key player in hydrogen solutions, has announced a significant milestone in its expansion into the Romanian market. The company has secured a contract to supply a 7.5 MW electrolysis plant for Elektra Power SRL, with the project valued at approximately EUR 7.1 million, equivalent to about SEK 77.8 million at current exchange rates. This contract not only marks Metacon's inaugural engagement in Romania but also underscores the increasing trust in its capabilities to deliver reliable and cost-effective hydrogen production technologies tailored to diverse customer needs.
The electrolysis plant will employ advanced pressurized alkaline electrolyzers, a collaboration with Metacon's partner, Peric Hydrogen Technology, based in Handan, China. This partnership is expected to enhance the project's technological foundation, equipping it with the necessary auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Christer Wikner, President and CEO of Metacon, expressed enthusiasm about this contract, viewing it as a testament to the company's expertise in the hydrogen sector.
