Mezan Acquires PT Data Center in Covilhã Following Regulatory Approval
Mezan has received regulatory approval from the Autoridade da Concorrência (AdC) to acquire PT Data Center, which operates a hyperscale facility in Covilhã, previously owned by Meo. This acquisition grants Mezan exclusive control over the center, with Altice remaining a primary client under a long-term service agreement. Asterion Industrial Partners, which controls Mezan, had previously entered the Portuguese data center market by purchasing the Covilhã Data Center Campus for €120 million.

The Autoridade da Concorrência (AdC) approved Mezan's acquisition of PT Data Center, which operates a hyperscale data center in Covilhã. The deal involves Mezan gaining exclusive control over the center, previously owned by Meo.
This acquisition was notified to AdC in December, allowing a 10-day period for third-party observations. Asterion Industrial Partners controls Mezan and entered the data center market in Portugal by purchasing the Covilhã Data Center Campus from Altice Portugal for €120 million. Altice will remain the primary client under a long-term service agreement.
