MGS Technical Plastics Invests £200,000 in Blackburn Expansion
MGS Technical Plastics invests £200,000 in new machinery and a 3,600 sq ft unit to enhance operations in Blackburn. This strategic expansion aims to strengthen its toolroom capabilities and support an ambitious growth target of £15 million.

MGS Technical Plastics has made a £200,000 investment in new CNC machinery and will occupy an additional 3,600 sq ft unit at Centurion Business Park by April 2026. This expansion aims to bolster its toolroom and increase in-house machining capabilities, supporting the company's goal of reaching £15 million in revenue.
The investment is part of a broader £2 million modernization initiative that has significantly reduced the company's carbon footprint by over 40%. The transition to an all-electric machine fleet and on-site solar generation enhances efficiency and stability for customers.
MGS's focus on prototype and aluminium tooling is expected to provide faster, cost-effective solutions for OEMs and product developers. Risks include the challenge of maintaining growth momentum in a competitive market.
