Michelin Completes Data Center Migration and Implements Open Source Strategy
Michelin has migrated its data center to a next-generation private cloud, supported by a €500 million investment. This initiative is part of a broader strategy, 'Open Source First,' aimed at enhancing software quality and attracting tech talent.

Michelin has completed its transition to a next-generation private cloud, partnering with Kyndryl, Broadcom, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The company has allocated €500 million to modernize its 'Order-to-Cash' process.
Additionally, Michelin embraces an 'Open Source First' strategy, recognized by the CNCF Top End User Award for its extensive use of Kubernetes. The company has also been recognized for its expertise with Apache Kafka, enhancing real-time data flow management.
On the innovation front, Michelin launched Aurora, a generative AI platform used by 10,000 employees to automate tasks and improve internal information access. Furthermore, the company has developed a hybrid AI methodology for R&D, combining traditional physical models with machine learning, leading to the creation of the Michelin Alpin 7 tire.
